GRAND THEATRE.

“DINTY” AND “ THE CHRISTIAN.” With a, bundle of newspapers under his arm. and a voice twice as loud as aiiy other kid in Chinatown, “ Dinty ” fights the world for a living, and makes himself newsboy king to provide a homo for his old Irish mother. “ Dinty ” is now on the current programme at the Grand. Then when his mother dies, ‘‘Dinty” has to fight down the feeling that life “ isn’t such a much ” after all ,and he battles to get back into the game and make himself the success his mother always long ed to see him. Wesley Barry, the youthful befreckled star, is a revelation as “ Dinty,” the King of the Newsboys’ Trust, and his two lieutenants are a little Chinese half-breed and a .jolly little coon, both selling members of the tru«t. and for them “ Dinty ” puts up many a fight. An up-to-date band of opium smugglers ( operating via airplane and i route between Mexico and San Francisco provide a series of thrills in the picture. Tliere is a beautiful love in tie rest in the story, and in this, ot course. “ Dinty ” has a hand, while running a little romance of his own on the side.
