SURPLUS FROM OPERATIONS. (Pen Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 4. The net surplus from the operations of the Auckland Citv Tramways for the year 1922-23 was £111,809. This amount is remaining after the payment of interest on the sinking fund (2i per cent.), charges on capital, and the transfer of £5.500 in payment of the City Council’s percentage of the profits, and of £3OOO to the Accident Fund.
