A wedding was solemnised at St Stephen's Church, Ashburton, by the Rev J. F. Wiseman, the contracting parties being Mrs Edith Kohlies and Mr John M’Cvoiy, of Pendarves. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of white crepe de chine with side dray, eries trimmed with tiny pearls and sill fringing. The waistline was finished with a cluster of flowers. With this frock she wore a large picture liat of pink crepe d© chine trimmed with flowers and ribbon streamers. Her bouquet was of white lilies and sweet pens with trailers of ferns. The Alisses -Lilian and Myrtle Burnaby, sisters of the bride, attended :is bridesmaids, the former wearing white crepe de chine with a white silk bat trimmed with ribbon and white sweet pea*. Alias Myrtle Burnaby wore a pink c-repc de chine frock and large black picture hat. Their bouquets were of white lilies and white sweet pea l * with long trailers of ferns. Air and Airs John Al’Crory left by motor for the south, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride travelled in a smart nigger brown costume heavily trimmed with steel beads.
