She has been a Unitarian minister since 1912, having gained her first experience as assistant at a Nottingham church. Miss Phillip* has had charge of churches in Nottingham, Carlisle and Newbury, and will now, while living in Birmingham, have charge of a church at Tamworth. as well as at Moseley, taking services in alternate weeks at each. She was the second woman to be ordained in England, the first being the Rev Gertrude von Petzold. who. before the war, was also a Unitarian minister in Birmingham. Mrs Charles Reid and Mrs H. A. Knight gave a fa-rewell party yesterday in honour of Lady Boys, who is going to England. Amongst the guests were Mr and Mrs H. A. Knight, Mrs Charles Reid. Jones, retiring lady superintendent of the Beckenham Nursing Division. Major W. AY. M‘ Kinney. Assistant Commissioner, presented Mrs Jones with a gold wristlet watch as u token of esteem from the mpmbprs of the division and staff for whom she had. done so much and with whom she had worked so well during lier long tears of service in the Brigade. Dixieland was the scene of a very pleasant function on Tuesday evening when a band of musicians and friends gathered to farewell Aliss Mabel Dyer, who is leaving for America next week.
