PIGEON FLYING.

CANTERBURY CLUB. The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club recently flew a young bird race from Waikari. Ninety-four birds were sent, divided amongst fourteen owners competing. The birds were liberated by the fitationmaster at, 1 p.m. in fine weather and a strong nor'-west wind, which caused the birds to jolt, ur> fast times. Tbe winner was P.
