DROWNED IN LAKE. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, April 30. On Sunday, while Alexander Leslie Morrison, aged thirty-three, and a Maori named Mamiku Fera were out on Tangoia Lake in a small boat preparing for the shooting season, the craft capsized. The former was drowned. The Maori went ashore and returned to the spot with help and brought out Mr Morrison, who then appeared to be liv ing, but was dead when a doctor arrived. At an inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned. SEAMAN DROWNED. (Per Press Association. ) DUNEDIN, May 1. John Bouchard a French-Canadian seaman on the schooner Forest Home, fell overboard last night. Efforts made to recover his body failed, but this morning it was recovered from the bottom of the harbour.
