LIMITATION OF SUBSIDIES.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON. April 30. Several meetings of householders tonight decided to support a circular resolution regarding a protest against Government limitation of subsidies on moneys raised by local effort, also to urge on the Government the need for raising three millions for rebuilding schools. The opinion was expressed by some that there should be a reversion to the old system of obtaining handwork supplies on a capitation basis as opposed to the present method of obtaining them through the Department.
