BUILDING THE BRIDGE.
MUCH WORK COMPLETED. j A great deal of what may be called “spade’’ work has been done in connection with St he Bridge of Remembrance. The whole of the old structure has been removed and considerable progress lias been made with the ferroconcrete work for the new bridge on both banks. An limber of stone masons are busily engaged preparing the stone blocks for the upper work of the bridge. ] The building of the bridge is exrit- \ ing public interest and at any hour of I the day a number of persons may be seen watching the process of firework. There is generally a line of spectators along the temporary footbridge that has been erected across the river.
