FERRY WHARF THRILLS.
EXCITEMENT AT WELLINGTON. Those who witnessed the departure from Wellington of the Wahine for Lyttelton on Friday evening had the experience of thrills at the expense of a passenger who arrived late, but was determined not to miss the steamer, and a gentleman who was bidding farewell to a friend. The latter fell over the wharf while receiving a parcel, and the former in a speotacular manner climbed a rope to board the vessel, hand over hand. The man in the water was soon hauled up again.
