At Philadelphia, England's colours were lowered in the first event of the University of Pennsylvania relay carnival, when Morgan, of the Oxford team, finished a bod sixth in the two-mile International Jtun. which Columbia, won. Morgan started well, and led the field for nearly half t but he gradually dropped Oxford, won the mile sprint. Medley and Stevenson finishing seven yards ahead. Tha British representatives led at 660 yards, but yielded at 880 yards, when Miilift"** n (til© Oxford captain) began reducing Georgetown's lead.
