The Postmaster-General has issued to his staff throughout the country a notice forbidding them to bet, gam-, ble or participate, in newspaper football or racing competitions, even when off duty, under the penalty of salAn official of an anti-gambling or ganisatiou comments that while Mr Chamberlain is guarding his staff’s morals with great solicitude, betting and gambling circulars, and money- j lenders’ alluring invitations, pass unchallenged through the Post Office in thousands.
