LATE MR A. BOYLE.

REFERENCE AT ADDINGTON SALE. During the sale of store sheep at the Addington yards to-day reference was made to the death of the late Mr Alexander Boyle and a. vote of sympathy with the widow and family was carried in the usual manner. Mr J. Cow (Ashburton) who has regularly attended the market, said that all would regret the death of Mr Boyle, who to so many of them had been “ Daddy Boyle ” for so many years. All present would join in expressing sympathy with Mrs Boyle and family in their bereavement. The late Mr Boyle was a thorough gentleman and a sportsman and no greater tribute could be paid to a man than that. Mr T. J. Maling said: “I shall be glad to convey to Mrs Boyle and her family the sympathy expressed by Mr Cow on behalf of those present and 1 am sure that of the many tributes which she has received front her late husband’s friends none will be more appreciated than that of his old Addington friends. May I. on behalf of ths firm of which he was the chief, acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy received by them from all sources but especially from the farming community. He was a man of sterling character who will long be remembered by many for his warm hearted kindness and readiness to help others, whilst those with whom he was in timatelv connected will long hold his memory in. affectionate remembrance.”
