LORD CARNARVON’S DEATH
Sir. The medical fraternity will be interested to get further details of the above. So far the cable informs us that blood poisoning followed a mosquito bite My little medical knowledge fells me tl ere is something wrons here. It should be malaria that would supervene on a mosquito bite. If the precaution of wearing rubber ploves was not need then there would be a chance of Hood poisoning when handling some of the “ treasures.' 7 There are undoubtedly houses, localities ami tombs that are sort of foci for malign influences, the same a.s there arc places where benign influences hold sv. ay. It will be a wiser and happier world when wc know how to avoid the former and make more use of the latter. PETER TROLOVE.
