LEAD COFFIN STOLEN.
WOMAN’S BODY INSIDE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 11, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, April 10. An extraordinary burglary occurred at an undertaker’s establishment in Fitasroy Square, London. Two or three men removed a lead coffin on a barrow. The police found the coffin in an adjoining street. It contained the body of a Belgian woman which was awaitng removal to a mausoleum in Belgium. The body was not disturbed. It is not clear whether the burglars knew of the contents of the coffin, or were unable to remove the body.
