WEDDINGS.

FRASER-RUTHERFORD. A wedding of interest to many people both in Christchurch and North Can ter bury wa* quietly celebrated at St Andrew’s Church, Oxford Terrace, this afternoon, when Aliss Ella Leslie Ruth erford, youngest daughter of the late Mr Duncan Rutherford and Airs Ruth erford, Leslie Hills, was married to Mr James Watt Fraser, son of the Rev Hughes Fraser and Mrs Fraser, Ferre*. Scotland. The church was prettily decorated with white and yellow-tinted flowers. Mr D. L. Rutherford, of “Morna,’ gave away his sister, who wore a- lovely gown of ivory marocain, with graceful side panels and sleeves of heavy silk filet laoe. A deep band of the same lace composed the lower half of the corsage, and the uncommon and pretty girdle was embroidered in pastel shades of blue and pink. With it was worn a down turned hat of ivory marocain, the high crown simply trimmed with big wheels of frilled narrow lace. Her pretty bouquet was of white and pale pink flowers. The only bridesmaid. Aliss Colleen Maofarlane, of “ Kaiwarra,” wore a handsome model gown of ivory georgette, simply trimmed with many rows oi line tucks, and having longer aidepanels and deep cape sleeves. Her hat was of powder blue georgette, luid she carried a bouquet of white and apricot tinted flowers. Mr Ross LasceJles was best man. A reception, confined to near relatives only, was held in the Winter Garden, the decorations being carried out in the same colours as were use a in the church. The bridesmaids were Aliss Gladys and Aliss Ena Howell, sisters of the bride. Aliss Gladys Howell wore a pretty frock of lemon taffeta and georgette trimmed with hand-made flowers and lemon beads. The hat to tone was of gold tissue and lace, with hand-made roses, and her bouquet was of pink and lemon roses. Mis* Ena Howell wore a dainty frock of shrimp pink satin, with touches of silver and band made flowers, and a hat to match in pink satin ami silver, the bouquet being of lemon and pink rose*. The little train bearers were Marion Howell and Josephine Reeves, who wore .dainty little petalied frocks of organdi ir mauve and primrose and carried posies of mauve and pink sweet peas. A reception was afterwards held at the Oddfellows' Hall. Wool y ton. where Air and Mrs Howell received a large number of guests.
