PRISONERS SENTENCED.
WELLINGTON CASES. (Per Press Association’.) AVELLNGTON, April 10. The Chief Justice imposed the following sentences in the Supreme Court this morning:—On Charles Horace Barry, Henry Gradwell, John Ryan and William James M’Bain, on a series of chares of breaking, entering and theft, and receiving stolen goods: Gradwell and M’Bain, five years’ reformative detention, the term to commence on the expiry of a sentence they are now serving; Barry and Ryan, three years reformative detention. Other sentences were: William Richard Thomas (forgery), two years probation; Bernard William Irvin (forgery and uttering), two years probation ; William Keating (theft from dwelling), four years reformative detention.
