Notwithstanding the rain, enormous crowds assembled in the Quirinal Piazza on the occasion of Princess Yolanda’s wedding. Although the wedding was more in the nature of a family ceremony and not a State function, 800 guests were present, including all the Royalties.
Signor Mussolini attended the civil wedding and read a message of felicitation to the bride and bridegroom. Tho religious ceremony followed in the Pauline Chapel. Monsignor Boccaria blessed the couple in the name of the Pope. The wedding present fill four rooms at- the Quirinal.
