TRIAL OF THE POPE.
RUSSIA’S LATEST EXTRAVAGANCE. CONFERENCE OF “ RED ” CHURCHES. By Telegraph.— Press Association.—Copyright.—“ The Times ” Service. (Received April 10, 11>15 a.m.) RICA, April 9. It is authoritatively stated that the Bolsheviks seriously intend, after they have dealt with the Patriarch Tikhon, to stage the trial of the Pope, in absentia, at Moscow, on the grounds of counter Revolutionary and anti-Proletarian conspiracy. A convocation of the Red Church, to which the patriarchs of Constantinople, Alexandria, Jerusalem, and Antioch have been invited, will meet on April 15. One of the purposes of the meeting is the unfrocking of the Patriarch Tikhon. To-day, besides 'the Orthodox body, there are in Russia the so-called Living Church, The Church of the Revival, and the Unified Apostolic Church, which may be described respectively as “ Red, Redder, Reddest.” Most of the Russian monasteries have been converted into prisons and concentration camps.
