LADY NORTHCLIFFE MARRIED.
A QUIET CEREMONY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 6, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, April 5. Lady Northcliffe was married to Sir Robert Hudson. The marriage was solemnised by special license in the chapel at Hartlebury Castle, the Bishop of Worcester officiating. Sir Charles Russell gave the bride away.
Dame Mary Elisabeth Viscountess Northcliffe was the eldest daughter of Mr Robert Milner. She was married to the late Viscount Northcliffe in 1888, and under his will was appointed executrix. Lord Northcliffe died on August 14, 1922. Under the wifi of Lord Northcliffe, who left an estate valued a t approximately £5,000,000, Lady Northcliffe was left an immediate legacy of £IO,OOO, to be paid within one month after his death. The leasehold house in Carlton Gardens was also left in/trust for her during her widowhood. Under the residuary trust fund, which is 71. § hundredth parts of the estate, an annuity of 25 per cent of the income of the total fund was left to Lady Northcliffe during her widowhood. It would appear, therefore, that upon her remarriage her interest in the estate ceases.
