CARRIER’S DEATH.
FOLLOWS COURT PROCEEDINGS. Albert Arthur Berry, a carrier, fift-y----hree years of age, was found dead in ■ed at his residence, 379, Armagh itreet, tine morning. Berry was seen x 10.45 last night by a boarder and pom mate, William M’Lean William on. At seven o’clock this morning \ illiamson apoke to Berry. Getting io answer, he investigated, and found bat Berry was dead. The position of ;he body indicated that Berry died quietly in his sleep. Berry, who was a widower, leaves a family of three children, the eldest a girl aged nineteen years and the youngest a buy aged fourteen. The inquest was opened to-day before Mr H. Y. Widdowson, District Coroner. James Samuel Berry, carrier, 38, Berry Street, St Albans, a brother, gave evidence of identification. He said his brother was a strong, healthy man but he drank a good deal. He last saw a week ago and he did not then complain of pains or anything of that kind. The inquest was adjourned until 4 p.m. on Tuesday for the result of a post mortem examination. Berry was yesterday defendant in a case heard at the Magistrate’s Court ir which he was proceeded against by John O'Connell for taking up a position on a carrier’s stand out of his turn. He was fined 20s with costs £-1 10s.
