FIGHTING IN IRELAND.
A REARGUARD ACTION. (Received March 9. 12.25 p.m.) LONDON. March 8. The heaviest fighting since the summer is in progress in Kerry Tlillis. Four hundred Irregulars fought a rearguard action -with the Free Staters, who were entrenched on the hillside where they were relieved by an armourd car. Eight Free Staters and twenty-oue rebels were killed anil many wounded. CAPTURE OF REBELS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received March 9. 1.45 p.m.) LONDON. March 8. Tt is officially reported that Free Staters captured a whole column, with arms and equipment, in Mayo, and f also leaders in Tipperary, including ! Con Moloney, who has been deputy chief of the rebel staff since the capture of Deasy.
