MR W. H. NICHOLSON, at the request of a deputation of Stumner residents, has consented to be nominated for the Mayoralty of the borough, on the retirement of the Hon J. Barr. Mr Nicholson has resided in Sumner for six years and has been connected with various local activities. In North Canterbury, where he resided for many years, he is well known in stock and station circles. He is secretary of the New Zealand Shoepowners' Federation.
