UNION ROWING CLUB, t The following are the results of the Watson Cup four-oar race which was rowed off during the week: T. Chisholm. R. Harbison. T. H. Grenfell e and A. Freeman defeated C. Watson. A. 1 Beardsley. .T. M. Bell and R. Mann. After passing Retreat Road Bridge Freeman drew ahead, and. maintaining his lead. won comfortably. A. Freeman's crew defeated A. E. Rogers, C. Grenfell. E. S. Melvin and L. C. Brers. This was a good race all the way, Freeman winning by half a. length. . G. Duggan. S. F. Taylor. L. Gregory and IT. L. Bush defeated P. Cairns. W. Whittington. R. Chapman and F. L. Booth jnr. A good race to Cowlishaw’s Corner, where r> Duggan gained a slight advantage, which he held to the finish. n Final. Duggan defeated Freeman. Cong sidcrable interest was taken in this race. which was well contested up to Stanmore 0 Bridge. From there Duggan held the lead and won "a hard race by a length. B CHRISTCHURCH REGATTA.
