CHATHAM’S CHILDREN.
A BUSY DAY. The Chatham Island children are making the best of their time in Chriscchureh and every day is filled up by«, trips which must prove instructive. To day. the boys went to the Addington saleyards. where they wore able to see the stock sales in full swing. The girls’ manner of spending the morning was of a. congenial nature. They went to Beath and Co.’s, where they were provided with morning tea. In the afternoon all the children went to the Navy League Hall, and spent, a very pleasant hour watching the film uhich gave them some idea of England’s naval power. DUNEDIN TRIP. Complete arrangements have now been made to allow the children to visit Ihmedin. The party will leave on Monday next, and will spend a week in the south. Owing to the members of the Grocers’ Union of Workers holding their Annual Picnic on that date. Grocery Establishments will be closed all* day on Saturday, the 20th inst. 1988 CYCLES SACRIFICED.
