A MOTOR CYCLE NUISANCE.

The attention of the “ Star ” has been directed to the very grave nuisance, in city and suburbs, caused by motor-cyclists who ride late at night with noisy exhausts, in contravention of the city by-laws. Two of these disturbers of the peace, late last night, engaged in a kind of race through certain of the quieter streets in the city proper, and when they found themselves on a straight piece of tarred macadam in Manchester Street they opened their exhausts for a wild race that made more noise than an aeroplane . To these ‘ ‘ road hogs ’ 5 private hospitals and siok persons in their own homes are nothing. They find the road clear of traffic and traffip inspectors, and they indulge their craze for speed regardless of the consequences to others. The city traffic inspectors, who are equipped, with up-to-date motorcycles, should have no difficulty in making an example of one or two offenders, for they may be easily traced at night, and could be intercepted or overtaken. t£ the inspectors can allay this nuisance they will do a very real service to the community.
