The Amuri County competition was continued on Saturday afternoon, when the Waiau Township played The Bush on the Waiau Domain, the game resulting in a win for the township by 49 runs. The township batted first and compiled 161 runs, to which H. Rogers contributed 52 (retired). C. Higgins 39. M. Macfarlane 20. A. Buchanan 12 and F. S. Northcote 10. The Bush replied with 112. S. Smale 42. F. Griffiths 23 and E. P. H. Burbury 17 being the chief scorers. For the township, H. Rogers. C. Richards and M. Macfarlane were the most successful bowlers, as were F. Griffiths and E. Milltori for The Bush. A REVIVAL. After a lapse of a number of years, the one time popular match, the Rutherford and Macfarlane families versus a team from the rest of the Waiau district., has been revived. This match was commenced on the Waiau Domain, but- when the Rutherford and Macfarlane team, who batter fi-sfc had compiled 17S for five wickets (M. Macfarlane 76, W. A. Macfarlane 60, D. C. Macfarlane 19. E. Rutherford 11 and S. L<. Rutherford 6), the game was stopped by rain. BOYS’ ASSOCIATION. The Canterbury Boys’ Cricket Association’s under eighteen representatives will play a game tins afternoon against a team elected by the secretary.
