ANNUAL CONFERENCE. (Pkr Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 17. The Nurserymen’s Conference opened to-day. Mr Buxton, in his presidential address, said the outlook Avas bright. He referred to the increased membership since tlie appointment of an organiser. The Minister ot‘ Agriculture spoke of He emphasised that only the best fruit should be exported, and said that, personally he believed it would he best to devote most attention to the South African market. He agreed that there aa as need for a school of horticulture, but it would have to wait until the financial position improved.
