Progress is being made towards establishing a Sehvyn-Malvern-Taivera Power l oard. A copy of the draft petition fuel plans of the proposed power district have been sent to Wellington. If approved by the. Chief Government Electrical Engineer they will be sub n itted to the ratepayers. The petition must be signed by not less than 25 per cent of the number of ratepayers in each constituent district. Mr G. H. Judd, chairman of the committee, intends to call meetings as scx> i as possible in the districts interested, in c rder to place the proposals fully before the ratepayers.
