Tibbs, late headmaster of the Auckland Grammar School, will attend the meeting of the New Zealand University Senate in Dunedin. Alorris, vicar of St Peter’s Church, Temuka, has accepted an appointment to the cure of St Augustine’s, Cashmere Hills. The cure of St Augustine’s, which was recently constituted, includes parts of the old parishes of Sydenham ami Opawa. Air Norris, who has been vicar of Temuka and Winchester since October, 1910, expects to commence his duties at Cashmere early next April. He was born in Nelson, in 1856, and joined the Government Insurance Department as a cadet in 1874. He resigned owing to ill-health in 1877, but returned to the Department as chief clerk m 1.882. In 1886 he became secretary, and was ap pointed commissioner in 1890. In 1922 he was appointed general manager of the State Fire Department and superintendent of the National Provident Fund. Air Richardson was also a member of numerous Government boards, and his actuarial standing is very high. The Hon J. C. AYatson, formerly Prime Alinister 'of Australia, and for twenty years a member of the Commonwealth Parliament, lias arrived in Blenheim. Air Watson will leave on his return to Sydney early this week. Mr A\ atson was born at Valparaiso in 1867, end was educated at Oamaru, New Zealand, where he began life as a compositor. Later he went to Sydney and , became President of the Sydney Trades ; nd.
