THEFT IN AUCKLAND.
SHOP WINDOW BROKEN. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 15. At two o’clock this morning a thief broke the window of E. S. Kohn, jeweller, in Queen Street, and stole two trays of diamond' rings, valued at £3OO. The crack was heard in the hotel opposite, but before chase could be given the man had disappeared.
