A PETITION LODGED. /'Per Ppf.ss Association'.) TE KUITI. January 13. Dsepite the- telegraphed contradiction Mr W. T. Jennings lodged a petition at 12.40 to-day praying for a scrutiny of all vote/ cast in the Waitom<> electorate and the voiding of the election. He refuses to state the grounds of the petition, but it is understood that it arises out of the Maa:isterial recount, at winch it is supposed all votes ov declaration, numbering some seventy odd, were rejected.
