USING T P LEFT-OVER SANDWICHES. When either meat or .sweet sandwiches are left over, make a batter and allow tlio sandwiches to soak on both sides in it for a quarter of an hour, then fry them a light brown and serve very hot.. Fish sandwiches cannot bo treated in this way. TO REMOVE GREASE MARKS. Put- a tablespoonful of ammonia into a pint of hot water and scrub the grease spot with a clean nail brush. Rub dry with a clean cloth, and make a thin paste of fuller’s earth and cold water and spread over the spot; leave to dry thoroughly. Then brush away every particle of the paste and it wi’.i be seen that the grease lias disappeared. FOR THE CROCHET WORKER. Before crocdieting lace on cloths, tako the cotton out of the machine need I*3 and put on the biggest stitch and i coarse needle, and machine round ths edge of the article to he trimmed. The machine needle will piece evonlv spaced holes in which the crochet hook can he inserted.
