WELLINGTON DROUGHT.
WATER SUPPLY SERIOUSLY SHORT. (Per Press AsbociatiojO WELLINGTON, January 12. Owing to the dry season the city water supply is seriously short, and the u&e of water on gardens has been prohibited . The rainfall in the city has been only 29 inches in the year, compared with an average of 49 inches. [Residents at seaside suburbs of Eastbourne are suffering much inconvenience. The tanks are dry and the creeks very low.
