BOWLING CHAMPIONS.
N.Z. TOURNAMENT. PAIRS COMPETITION. Ji (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 12. The pairs competition in connection with the bowling tournament commenced today, in fine but overcast weather. Play is proceeding on thirteen greens, each with t-wb sub-sections. There are 200 pairs taking part. 100 being from Auckland and 100 being visitors. Each pair will play five games, the section yinners then going forward to inter-section play on the sudden death principle. The five surviving players in the singles will play off on Friday, January 19. as all are engaged in the pairs and rinks.
