ELLESMERE GUN CLUB.
There was a large attendance at the aunual meeting of the Ellesmere Gui Club at the Lakeside Memorial Hall, Mr Frank Rowell (vice-president), being i«i the chair. A motion of condolence was carried ?n the usual fol-m in the death of the late president, Mr Robert Patterson. The secretary. Mr F. Alexander, real the report anil balance-sheet of the previous year, which was duly adopted. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £6B 7s Gd. The election of officers resulted as fol lows:—Patron. Frank Graham, Geo. Manson, C. Cooper, J. Anderson and J. Vince; blackboard steward, Mr David Reid; Finau e and Match Committee, president, treasurer, secretary, Messrs W. R~ Donald. W. Quigley and D. Mr F.bert mentioned that the value of the championship medals should be increased and suggested there shotild be a meeting, with delegates of other clubs when arranging the programme for the open shoots. This was agreed to, Meas-s Ebert aud Donald being appointed delegates to attend a meeting in Christchurch. The president offered a prize for the highest aggregate points, and this was left to
