TANKS AND FIELD GUNS.
. (Received January 12, 1.30 p\m.) LONDON, January 11. Essen advices .state that the French force is fully equipped It includes a large number of tanks, field guns, armoured cars, lorries, cyclists and even gas masks. A Frencli proclamation issued at Dusseldorf states that the local admin i strati on will continue to function. There will be no curfew, but the carrying of arms is forbidden. • Dusseldori and Duisburg were plastered during the nigh* with Communist placards in French and German inciting the German soldiers to revolt against Herr Stinnes and other capitalists.
