TO-DAY’S LADIES’ TEST MATCH. At the Thorn don ( Wellington.) courts Icday and to-morrow the first test match will be played between New Zealand and the New South Wales ladies’ team- The teams, with their ranking:, are as follow . N.S.W, N.Z. Miss Lance Miss Macfarlane Mrs Laecelles Mrs Scott-Wats on Miss Gray Mrs Hodges Mrs Lloyd - Miss Howe Throe of the New Zealand ladies ar*> fl'6m Auokland. and the fourth (Miss Howe' from Wellington. The draw for to-day's play is as follows : Singles. 12-30 p.m.—Mias Gray v. Miss Howe: Miss Lloyd, v. Mrs Hodges. 2 p.m. —Miss Lance v. Mrs Soo tt-W atson - Mr ß Lascelles v. Miss Macfarlane. Doubles. 4 p.m.—Miss Lance and Mrs Lasoellea v. Mrs Soott-Watson and Miss Howe; Mrs Gray and Miss . Lloyd v. Miss Maefarlano and Mrs Hodges. An exhibition game will be played eaih day, probably a combined doubles. in which the emergencies for the New Zealani team, Miss Fenwick and Miss Snow-Clark, will compete on-the Friday, and a men'* colts’ doubles on the Saturday.
