MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
LYTTELTON. TO-DAY’S CASES. (Before Mr TV. T. Lester, .T P and F. Knights, .T P.) DEUXKENNESS. George Thornham. a third offender for drunkenness, was fined 20s in default two days’ imprisonment. ASSAULT. Richard Walkling was charged with assaulting James Norton. Evidence was given that the accused had met Norton on the waterfront. An argument had ensued, and he had assaulted. Norton. Walkling was convicted and ordered to pay costs.
