Air Thomas Glendinning (Dunedin) is staying at Warner’s. Messrs Norman Rutherford (Mendip Hills) and Peter Cameron 'Dunedin) are at the United Service. Quite a number of small shopkeepers carrying on those businesses not required to close for one half day in the , week are said to be stocking firewprks. It is stated that it is necessary for such shops to observe the statutory half holiday, as, by stocking fireworks they cease to be engaged exclusively in the exempted businesses.
