The New Zealand Cricket Council has issued the following statement in regard to th© tour of th© M.C.C. team: — “ In regard to th© cablegram from Sydney that appeared yesterday, apparently Mr Sydney Smith was misunderstood when he was made to say that in view of the hold-up of the M.C.C. team, the matches at Auckland and Wanganui would have to bo sacrificed. Immediately definite, ad- i vice is received regarding the team's departure from Sydney, the management committee of the New Zealand Council will go into tho question of the programme to ho carried out." PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ MATCH. A match will be played at Hagley Park to-morrow, commencing at 11 a.m., between the Waltham School eleven and an eleven selected from the remainder of the schools coached by Mr F. J. Shacklock.
