LOAN FOR AUSTRIA.

The House of Commons .sat all night discussing financial resolutions, firstly < n a Rill to lie introduced extending the Trades Facilities Act for a year, and secondly authorising the Treasury to guarantee a £35 000.000 loan to # Austria, of which the British share was £0,000,000. Afr Pringle unsuccessfully attempted to secure a provision that no loan be granted under the Trades Facilities Act to anv industry abroad. which competed with a similar industry in Britain.
Several Liberal and Labour members opposed the loan to Austria. Air Ramsay Macdonald unsuccessfully moving an adjournment. The resolutions were eventually carried.
