THE LAST CARS.

Sir,—The hope of a large section o e a law-abiding and respectable community is to catch the bust tramcar home from the Square. Perhaps I might be considered very querulous in my complaint but I would like to know why the Tramways Board, or inspectors, held up all the last cars for some five, ten and at times fifteen minutes after their scheduled starting times. The board, now that the summer months are at hand, might very well run the cars a few minutes after 11 p.m., and put on an extra and later 1 car on the most popular lines. The present lengthy waiting is rather exasperating, and i+ is just a. question whether the board does not lose a good amount of revenue through passengers getting tired ot waiting for the last cars to go. Many prefer to walk.—l am. etc., PASSENGER.
