UTILITY POULTRY CLUB.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting: of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club was held last night, Mr H. W. Heck presiding'. The caretaker reported that the fowls had done well during November. The ducks had been patchy. There had heen a very heavy percentage of brooders, especially among the heavy breeds. The egTss sent to market wore:—Hens. 658 dozen; ducks'. 37 dozen. The treasurer (Mr J. B. Merrett) reported that the receipts for October-November amounted to £96 lls lOd. and with the balance in band made £2Qa lTa. Expenditure was £96 Os fid, leaving a credit of £ll3 10s 4d. Mr Merrett also reported on the Poultry Association's meeting held at Dunedin. Messrs Beck and Williams were. appointed delegates to the conference of poultry men to be held at Nelson in March.
