HURUNUI RABBIT TRUSTEES.

A meeting of the Huruniii Rabbit Trustees way held at Culvevden on Saturday: present—Messrs G. O. Butherford, W. \Y. ; M Rae and W. .1. M'Milian. Inspector V 7. T. Rutherford and Mr R. L. Hicks (secretary) were in attendance. The secretary reported that only one owner at Spotswood had forwarded his cheque for the purchase of the -.ld fence * line, and it n ac> resolved to return to the cheque to him. Inspector Rutherford was instructed to arrange to put a man on to pull up the fence and stack the material. It was resolved that Inspector C. A. Neville s resignation be accepted with regret. The secretary was instructed to write to Inspector Neville on behalf < f the trustees, thanking him for hia past services and wishing him success in his new’ district. A vote of sympathy was moved to Mr T. C. Robinson in his recent illness. The secretary was instructed to confer with Inspector Turner regarding the mixing of poison at Rotherham, and the obtainrng of supplies in the future. It was decided to advertise for the services of an expert rabbiter to work in the district at a guaranteed wage. The inspectors’ reports for the month were considered, and satisfactory work appeared to have been done in the majority of cases. Accounts amounting to £lB4 11s were passed for payment. ' j
