AQUATICS.
CHRISTCHURCH REGATTA CLUB. The first annual meeting of the Christchurch Regatta, Club was held last week. Mr F. D. Kestevcn presided over a fair attendance. The annual report and balance-sheet presented by the committee was very satis factory, the cash balance in hand for thn season’s regatta being €BO. The chairman expressed regret for th great lose to the Regatta Club and to Row ing generally in the death of the late M W. M. Joynt. The following officers were elected.—P. tron—Sjr Heaton Rhodes. K.8.E., M.l' president, F. D. Kesteven Esq.; hon &e ret ary, R R. C. Spooner, hon treasure C. H. Clemens; hon auditor, S. P. Godfrc committee, R. J. Hobbs, E. Beaven, R. Morgan. G. H. Hobbs. W. Duggan, G. LbcF. L. Booth, F. Foster. A. T. Evans, AWhitfield, F. H. SteA'eneon. A. Woods. Several new members were elected. It was decided to hold the Regatta ;1k the end of February, probably on Satr day, February 24.
