In view of the hold up of Maciaren's team Mr Smith is endeavouring to arrange , a match with New South Wales colts for j Tuesday and Wednesday- Mr Smith states : that the matches at Auckland and Waa- * ganui will have to be saorifleed. He suggests that the receipts of the match be given to the New Zealand cricket authorities, to help to compensate for the losses following the hold up. AUCKLAND'S REPRESENTATIVES TO j PLAY M.C.C. The selectors of the Auckland Cricket Association have selected the following players to represent xYuckland in the first match against the M.C.C. eleven: Eoun,ree. C. 'Aloott, Snedden, Smith.
