A SIGNIFICANT MESSAGE LAUSANNE, December 2 Ismet Pasha has telegraphed to Angora that the T urkish people should prepare to defend their rights in the near future. Tile Turkish delegation i s decidedly pessimistic, but though the differences with the Allies have increased, there is still time, in Lord Curzon’s words “to smother the beginning of a com. flagration.”
