PIGEON FLYING.
RACE FROM MAETON. The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club recently flew a race from Marton, in whicfl ninety-tour birds were sent. divided amongst twenty-two owners competing. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 7.30 a.in. in dull weather with a northerly wind, which changed to a souwest wind and passing showers. U. Robertson’s bird was an easy winner, beating the second bird by IGniiu. uud flying the distance of 234 miles 583 yards air line in 10 hours 3min 23sec. Following is thv>
