At 10.36 yesterdav morning the City Tiro Brigade received a call to 29, Bath Street, where a fire had broken out in the scullery of a five-roomd house owned by Air John Mitchell and occupied by Mr A. Beaumont. No difficulty was experienced in suppressing the outbreak and very little damage was done. It is stated that the gas ring in the sr'ullery was left burning all night. The outbreak was first noticed by neighbours. There was no insurance on 'the contents. The insurance (if any) on the house was not available yesterday. At 7.33 last night the Christchurch Fire Brigade received a call to a house at 51,Victoria Terraceoolston. owned by Mr James Sheard and occupied by Mr R. S. Winter. A defective chimney had ignited the roof of the house, which was two-storied and of six rooms. The fire was extinguished before it had done much damage. ANOTHER FIRE.
