Tlie monthly meeting of the- ChristI c-hurcli branch of the National Council |o* Women was hold on Monday- In the ; absence of the president Mrs Roberts ’ presided. The secretary stated that a list of questions put forward by the Christchurch branch or the National Council had been supplied to seventeen candidates for Parliament in the Christchurch North. East and South. Ricearton. Lyttelton and Avon electorates. ■ Replies had been received from Airs | Herbert. Alessrs lsitt. Andrews. Sulli--1 van. Loach. Russell, Armstrong. ; Al’Combs, Witty. M’Cullougli. Kyle ! and Howard.
